Originally from the small town of Hurt, Virginia, Jalil moved to New York to attend NYU and pursue a career in the fashion industry. Since his arrival in New York, he has worked in styling and has spent time working for a multi-brand luxury retailer. In 2023, he started his newsletter,
which is a bi-weekly publication with a heavy focus on fashion, style, and cultural aspects of living a well-informed life.
